When you work for systems integrator or solution provider it usually means constant certifications, why?
There are some requirements to be reseller of practically every network and security vendor. To be eligible to sell products and have partnership status with vendor some technical staff is necessary. Higher partnership status require more technical staff with some level of certifications and expertise.
Companies usually like to acquire high partnership status with vendors, it prove their competencies and capacity to deliver projects.
I work in system integrator environment for more than 12 years. Usually, year by year I pass about 3-4 technical exams (I count only proctored via Pearson Vue). It require “some” effort to be up to date with current technology but on the other hand, it is some kind of motivator to acquire and maintain technical expertise. So far, I cannot even count how many exams I passed, some are listed under my Credly profile:

My general exam advice – usually first thought is the right one. If you are not sure that that answer is correct by you choose it by some kind of hunch – do not change it 🙂
